After a slew of well-known product brands such as Burger King, X, Snickers, Milky Way and Slim Jim are riding the Dogecoin hype, American meat and cold cut maker Oscar Mayer has also jumped on the Dogecoin bandwagon. Similar to X, Oscar Mayer has also created a Dogecoin-focused product and is auctioning off a “10-pack of weenies” featuring the famous Shiba Inu.
10-Pack of Doge-Themed Weenies
Oscar Meyer is a famous hot dog and cold cut as the Kraft Heinz-owned firm has been around for years. In fact, the Meyer brothers began manufacturing bratwurst, liverwurst and weisswurst products in 1883. The official Twitter account of the Chicago-based company has been tweeting about the infamous crypto-asset in recent days. Dogecoin (DOGE).
The company joins several well-known brands to engage in the Dogecoin promotion. More recently, X released a limited edition Dogecoin “crypto scented” body spray and some Burger King locations in Brazil came out with a Dogecoin-themed doggy biscuit for pets.
Hot dog company Oscar Mayer has also created a Dogecoin-focused product and the firm is auctioning off a 10-pack of hot dogs with the image of a Shiba Inu. Oscar Mayer says package also comes with cash equivalent to 20,000 Doge Plus there’s only one more to take.
The company’s Twitter account said the proceeds from the eBay auction would be given to Feedamerica.org, an American hunger-relief charity.
“We’re back and this time together [$] and also [$] Very wow This limited-edition pack from Hot Doge Wieners now comes with a cash value of 20,000 DOGECIOINS. Although only one pack exists,” Oscar Mayer tweeted on Thursday. The tweet also yields an eBay auction URL that shows Oscar Mayer has two days left to bid on a 10-pack. At the time of writing, the highest bid for a package of hot dogs is $13,100. eBay description says:
a lot of meat. So wier Taste a lot. Keep it Oscar, on your trip to the moon and help a good cause at the same time with this one-of-a-kind 10-pack. The winner of this auction will not only get the only pack of Oscar Mayer Hot Doge Wiener in the world, but also enough cash to buy 20,000 Dogecoin. All proceeds will be donated to Feeding America. The Oscar Mayer Hot Doge Wiener Package auction ends on August 8, 2021 and the highest bidder will receive a 10-pack and “cash equivalent to buying twenty-thousand (20,000) Dogecoin”. According to the eBay auction listing, Dogecoin (DOGE) The cash equivalent will be “based on the value of approximately twenty thousand (20,000) Dogecoin at the auction.”
